Life on the Island

We’re lucky enough to live on Waiheke Island, situated off the North Island of New Zealand and just a 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland. Living on an island, with the sea surrounding us, the sun shining, and the beautiful native birds singing, we find inspiration in everyday life. The greenery of the surrounding bush finds itself in our ‘Green Scheme’, the beauty of Waiheke is magnified in our ‘Island Wonder’ cushion, the vibrant plants and wildlife are found in the patterns of many of our gorgeous floral cushions. Enjoying a warm climate, we’ve carefully selected a stylish collection of outdoor cushions made from durable material that can withstand most weather. We’ve also got several ‘Bach inspired’ cushions to bring a coastal feel to your home. Understanding how the sunlight can damage interiors, we’ve got several lighter colours in our collection that can better withstand the light.

Living on an island means that, with each ferry ride to Auckland, Beverley has a long list of materials to collect for making new cushions with. After a busy day in Auckland visiting fabric shops, browsing interior stores and collecting new ideas, it’s time to come back to the island and work on new designs. Having freight delivered via ferry means that posting items to customers needs extra care, we make sure that packages are sent out at the earliest convenience so that delivery is not delayed, but we never know how smoothly it will go!
